What is aspiration?

"A hope or ambition of achieving something" Again, try to break it down and replace the more complex words with words that you personally feel more comfortable with. For example, you could replace the word achieve with reach. That would change the definition to 'A hope or ambition of reaching something'. I hope it makes a little more sense. Basically, an aspiration is something is a dream that you have acquired for the moment or for the future. 

What do people aspire to?

Anything! Anything your heart desires! You can aspire to things as small as wanting to get a game or aspire to big things like getting wealthy! There are many things one aspires to that displays who the person really is.
